I used to hear this argument a lot: first you are a frequent reader, then you buy an e-reader, not the other way around.

I didn't know much about e-reader either. Of course, I know Amazon Kindle, but I have never thought that I will own one, simply because it's hard to find its value for a user like me, who is not at all a book lover.

And, I haven't had instant noodle for a very long time.

How to make your instant noodle more delicious? Amazon kindle help you
Amazon Kindle, a pioneer of e-readers, was introduced to the Chinese market in 2013 and got an amazing sales. However, with the entry of domestic competitors and undifferentiated consumer habits, kindle was idled by substantial Chinese consumers.

However, just recently, Amazon announced their new lines of Kindle, in which I find the Matcha colour extremely appealing. I always find myself fall in love easily with nice-looking electronic gadgets.

Our e-reader lineup also features a reimagined Kindle Scribe and the fastest Kindle Paperwhite ever.

Do you think I am going to buy myself a Kindle?

Almost, but no.

I have always had the habit to conduct a thorough research before I buy any electronic product, because I want to make sure that this would be a product I like upon I receive, and also throughout the future.

That's what led me to know about this brand: Rakuten Kobo.

Huh, so being a cashback website is not the only thing Rakuten does. And it is said that this is among the 3 biggest e-reader brands across the globe (plus Amazon Kindle and I don't know which, and I don't know if this "3 biggest" concept actually exists). You can find Kindle vs. Kobo articles all over the Internet which makes it feel like a pretty common alternative.

Then I found out about this model, which was just released mid this year.

Kobo Clara Colour
Bring books to life with the Kobo Clara Colour eReader. Enjoy a full-colour library of eBook covers on the 6″ E Ink Kaleido™ 3 display.

It's a colour e-reader, instead of a black-and-white only one. And it has a similar price tag with the Matcha Kindle.

As someone who never owned an e-reader, having a colour screen with the cost of extra tens of bucks is appealing. Yes I know the black-and-white screens might have a better display comparing to a colour screen which is displaying black-and-white content, but since I won't be able to tell because I never owned one, it is fine.

Placed an order. Waited for it to be delivered impatiently. Received it. Love it.

It's such a small but elegant piece of hardware that you can carry with you almost every time you go outside. It fits easily in a pocket. And every time when you feel like it, you can just pull it out and start to read right away. The screen also makes it less tiring for your eyes if you tend to read for a long time.

It's worthy to mention that you can see your e-reader screen more clearly under bright sunshine, which is different with your other daily equipments like phones or laptops.

Why Are e-Readers Great for Reading in the Sun? - Good e-Reader
I am sure everyone has run into the situation where you need to hunt around for a bit of shade and get out of direct sunlight to read on your phone or tablet. LCD screens tend to reflect light like nobodies business because the average screen has multiple layers. Serious readers often turn to their

I hope I can be a more frequent book reader, from now onward.
